Axem CTO Chris Friesen Presents Research at 2019 Canada Stroke Congress

Axem Neurotechnology Inc. proudly announces that our CTO, Chris Friesen, presented our internal research at the 2019 Canada Stroke Congress held on October 4, 2019. His presentation, titled "Assessing the performance of a novel fNIRS device designed to measure motor cortex activity in a clinical setting: Pilot study in healthy adults," was a significant contribution to the field of non-invasive, usable neurotechnology.

Axem CTO Chris Friesen presenting our research at the 2019 Canada Stroke Congress.

Chris's presentation focused on the capabilities of our prototype fNIRS (functional near-infrared spectroscopy) headband, designed to measure brain activity during arm and hand movement. The study, involving healthy individuals, demonstrated promising results in capturing motor evoked responses, indicating the potential of this technology in numerous applications. These findings represent an important step in our ongoing efforts to develop accessible and innovative neurotechnology tools.
