Preliminary Results of Axem Clinical Study Presented at 2022 Medical Rehabilitation Research Resource (MR3) Network Scientific Retreat

Axem Neurotechnology Inc. is thrilled to share the news of a presentation by our collaborator, Kelly Rishe from the Laboratory for Translational Neurorecovery at Massachusetts General Hospital, at the 2022 MR3 Network Scientific Retreat Archive. Her presentation on September 30, 2022, showcased our exciting work in the field of stroke rehabilitation.

The presentation, titled "Novel Clinical Trial of Portable Near-Infrared Spectroscopy-based (fNIRS) Brain Computer Interface to Augment Upper Extremity Motor Recovery after Stroke," detailed an innovative pilot clinical trial. It explored the use of a portable fNIRS biofeedback system in conjunction with telerehabilitation for at-home upper extremity motor recovery following a stroke. This study is a pivotal step in understanding how portable neurotechnology can be integrated into rehabilitation practices, potentially transforming the delivery of stroke recovery services.

We are proud of our collaboration with Kelly and the entire team at the Laboratory for Translational Neurorecovery at Massachusetts General Hospital. For those interested in viewing the full presentation, it is available at this link. This project aligns perfectly with Axem's commitment to advancing neurotechnology in meaningful and practical ways.
